Domestic violence is a pattern of violent and/or abusive behaviors used to gain power and control between close individuals or family members.

It is not an isolated incident and can manifest verbally, emotionally, psychologically, sexually, economically, or physically.

Domestic violence hurts everyone and can affect anyone, regardless of socio-economic class, gender, race or sexual orientation.
