DVRP needs YOUR help!

DVRP's Advocates Program provides training for community members to become bilingual advocates for survivors of domestic violence. Bilingual advocates work one-on-one with survivors to provide peer support, information on legal, social service and health resources, translation and interpretation services, safety planning and risk assessment, and more. Bilingual advocates will be dedicating five full weekends to go through an intensive training starting April 24th. Please support DVRP's bilingual advocates in making a difference in the Asian Pacific American community.

DVRP's Community Outreach Program trains Community Outreach Volunteers to help spread the word about DVRP's services into the many difference API communities in DC/MD/VA. And every summer, DVRP holds a Community Leader's Institute designed for API leaders who want to learn more about domestic violence and become a resource in their community. With your help, we can effectively respond to domestic violence and create healthy and safe communities and families.

$100 will cover the cost of meals and training manuals for one participant in the Advocates Program.

$50 will cover the cost of meals for one participant over five weekends (9 days) of training in the Advocates Program.

$25 will cover the cost of meals and training manuals for one Community Outreach Volunteer or Community Leader's Institute participant.

To donate, click on "Network for Good" on left or send a check payable to DVRP to our mailing address at P.O. Box 14268 Washington D.C. 20044. Please indicate either Community Outreach Program or Advocates Program on your electronic or check donation. We thank you in advance for your kind contribution.
